Background The dromedray and their relatives are unique in producing antibodies that have no light chains. This IgG have a MW of 100 kDa (conventional IgG, 150 kDa) and it's called HcAb for heavy chain only antibodies (HcAb). Additionally there antigen binding domain represents only 12-15 kDa. These characteristics give to dromedray antibodies a unique propreties: to rgognize inaccessible epitopes, to penetrate tissue and cells easily and to resiste to large?pH and temperature variations.
